Chili powder is the dried, pulverized fruit of one or more varieties of chili pepper, sometimes with the addition of other spices. It is used as a spice to add pungency and flavour to culinary dishes. It is a red-coloured blend of powdered spices without which any Indian dish is incomplete. A little spoon of red chilli powder adds appealing colour and mouth-watering flavour to all the dishes starting right from Rogan josh to lal maas to rajma, aloo took and litti chokha.
